Hi, my name is Cindy Holloway and this is my partner Cleo. We are part of the Pet Education Team of Animal Emergency & Urgent Care in Bakersfield. I have been involved with animals and pet education for over 15 years. I am certified as a Dog Safety Educator from the Humane Society of the United States and a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator for the American Kennel Club. Cleo has received her Canine Good Citizen certificate from the American Kennel Club, and her TDI certificate from Therapy Dog International.
Did you know that each year an estimated 4.7 million people in the United States are bitten by dogs? Of these, roughly 800,000 people sought medical care for the bite, and over half (420,000) of those getting medical care were children. Many children lack the fundamental tools on how to behave around dogs and as a result are often bitten on the face and are unable to fend off an attack.
Cleo and I gladly extend an offer to come to your school/organization and give a presentation that will help teach your students how to interact safely around our canine citizens. This is a service we offer to the youth of our community at no charge. The program is adaptable to any age group, and you will receive a certificate for taking the program.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact me at 661-322-6019, email us, or use our online contact form.
Sincerely,
Cindy Holloway
