Frankie Cowan - Veterinary Assistant, Laboratory Coordinator

Frankie has been an Animal Emergency And Urgent Care Team member since December of 2001. She's a graduate of the Registered Veterinary Technician Program at Bakersfield College. Frankie resides in Bakersfield with her husband John, and son Conner, their pride and joy. Along with her love of animals, humor, Frankie has the ability to get the job done. She is our resident laboratory specialist and ensures our lab equipment is always running in tip-top shape. Frankie has been such a joy to have around at AEUC.

Hobbies: Painting and fishing.

Interests: Spending time with her family.

Pets: 4 dogs- Beau, Beanie, Lil, Minnie; and 2 cats- Brandy and Mr. Whiskers.

Andreas Dauner - Veterinary Assistant, Inventory Assistant

Born in Germany, Andreas and his family moved to Bakersfield when he was just 3 years old. Now years later, he is happily married to his wonderful wife Tiffany. Andreas has been at Animal Emergency and Urgent Care for about 3 years now. Previously he worked in a local day practice for 3 years. His love of animals shows through his work, and he is considered a valued AEUC Team member.

School: Cal-State Bakersfield - 3 years - Liberal Studies.

Hobbies: Skateboarding and cars.

Pets: 3 cats- Stella, Stanley, and Fry; 1 dog- Rusty. 

Darcy Lamar - Veterinary Assistant, Safety Coordinator

Darcy was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Bakersfield when she was 2 years old. A true water baby, Darcy wanted to work with marine animals so she went to Sea World for job training while still in high school. Advised to work as a veterinary assistant first, Darcy worked at a small & large animal hospital in Prescott, Arizona. She has been in the animal field for 8 over years. Not only has Darcy been with Animal Emergency and Urgent Care for almost 3 years, she is now the hospital Safety Coordinator.

Darcy's caring nature and bubbly personality, makes her an asset to AEUC and we're lucky to have her.  

Hobbies include: wakeboarding, jet ski, in-door & out-door soccer, horse-back riding, snowboarding, trips to the beach, BBQ, and working on her tan!

Interests: Watching movies & drinking hot cocoa with the love of her life, long time boyfriend, Ben.

Pets: 2 dogs- Tillie & Jake; 2 cats- smokey & Tipsy; 2 horses- Roxy & Gucci.  

Stephanie Headley - Veterinary Assistant

Stephanie started working at Animal Emergency and Urgent Care in 2005. Steph is very dedicated, upbeat, and simply a pleasure to have as an AEUC Team member.

She attended Voorhies Elementary School, Sierra Middle School, and graduated from Foothill High School in 2005.

Stephanie is currently attending Bakersfield College, Majoring in Animal Science, and the RVT program. Planning to transfer to Cal State Bakersfield in 2007, Steph will be majoring in business.
